Waiting for Additional Imagery

As the post title states, some paintings must wait to be finished. This will remain in that category until I recycle it or until I add additional imagery. It's a one session piece done just after my open studio. It's not close enough for a cigar. I have a back log of these waiting for a long stretch of uninterrupted time for completion. I will experiment with different combinations until something clicks. Until then this and the others will remain in storage until I transform them. More to come.
She actually looks like she's waiting. I sometimes wait for blocks of time, too. I usually leave the unfinished work propped in my room until something clicks; then I make time. (Teaching is important so you have a legitimate reason for waiting).

ReplyDeleteIt may be some time before it is finished (whatever that is). I have to think about what may added and it will probably be right over the top of it.
I will probably not be seeing this model in this pose again.
